Côtes de Bourg is a renowned wine region in France with a rich history. This ripe and supple wine boasts blackcurrant notes and a smooth texture, with the vintage's tannins adding complexity. A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon gives it a deep ruby color with purple undertones. Its bouquet is of dark fruits, including blackberry and blackcurrant, with hints of tobacco and spices. The palate showcases a medium body and velvety texture, highlighting ripe fruit flavors like black cherry, plum, and blackberry, complemented by notes of vanilla, mocha, and a touch of oak. The well-structured tannins lead to a long finish and a perfect balance of acidity and fruit. It pairs excellently with vegan roast's, and strong cheeses. Château la Gamaye, owned by the Bourceau family for six generations, has a rich history of winemaking.
